What's on during the week
Everyone is welcome to receive toast and a hot drink before a hot lunch is served at 11.30am. A chance to receive a warm welcome and a meal for those who would otherwise go without.
A no-pressure group for those who are looking to lose weight. There's no professional advice, but lots of friendly encouragement and tips from others looking to support one another.
Wednesdays, 9.30-11.30am (term-time)
Our parent and toddler group has an excellent, long-standing reputation in the area for a warm welcome, lots of safe space and some great toys. Plus, there's refreshments and good biscuits! All for £1!
G4G Girls Group
Wednesdays, 6-7.30pm (term-time)
This group for girls of primary school age has only been going a year, but has proved so popular there's now a waiting list. Lots of fun activities, crafts and games, all with aim of learning more about God.
Prayer and Praise
Fridays, 10.30am-12pm (not all year)
This is where our senior members share in a simple service with familiar hymns, prayers for the sick and a talk. The morning is rounded off with refreshments. The group also donate funds raised to various charities.
Boys' Brigade (website)
Fridays, from 5pm (term-time)
Now in its 70th year, our BB company has impacted many lives. The Anchors (5-8yrs, 5-6pm), Juniors (8-11yrs, 6-7.15pm) and Seniors (11-18yrs, 7.15-9.30pm) play games, learn skills and hear about the Christian faith.
First Thursday Ladies
Thursdays, times vary
Every couple of months, women connected with Stanley Road get together for a social time, with crafts, activities and occasional trips out. It's not always on the First Thursday, so keep an eye on the news-sheet.
Occasional Saturdays, 8.30am
All men connected with Stanley Road are welcome for breakfast. These are held every couple of months and are sometimes combined with working mornings, when we do jobs on the church building.
Days and times vary
We have a number of house groups where people meet together regularly, to learn from the Bible, to share what's going on in their lives, and to encourage each other in their faith.
