What to expect on a Sunday

Sunday mornings

We believe that Christians should meet together regularly, to worship God and to encourage each other. This is our focus each Sunday. Our service begins at 10.30am, but people usually arrive from 10am. We also hold a prayer meeting at 9.15am in our meeting room. There is no dress code!
Our service includes a mix of modern and traditional songs and hymns (see right for examples), led by our band that usually has a combination of piano, guitar, a brass section and the occasional drum! We seek to teach the truths of the Bible, which we believe to be given by God to help us live out our lives. We aim to do this in an accessible way.

We have SPACE, our group for children, in the hall each week. This is except for the second Sunday in the month, which is an all-age service. The third Sunday is a Communion service. Services usually finish about 11.30-11.45am and are followed by refreshments in the hall.

Details of our latest Sunday services

Sunday evenings

On the first Sunday of the month, we go to our local pub, The Cumberland View, to host a quiz night. This is a good way to meet more people, and to get to know one another. We meet at the pub at 6.30pm.

We also occasionally hold other events on a Sunday evening, such as a prayer tea and our annual treasure hunt in September.
