During the week
Prayer and Praise
Each Friday, we host a service in the church foyer, called 'Prayer and Praise'. Doors open at 10am, with the service starting at 10.30am. There is a mix of familiar and well-loved hymns, the chance to share news and then someone will share a talk on a topic, usually related to the Christian faith. Afterwards, refreshments are served. This group has been a popular place for people looking for spiritual support during the week. It is ideal for people looking to meet new people.
Midweek 'Growth Groups'
While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have several groups that meet in people's homes, and currently have one that meets at church at 10.45am on Wednesdays. Get in touch to confirm times and places.
Prayer gatherings
Alternate Fridays: We meet for a half-hour prayer meeting, from 9.30-10am, with a short pause for reflection and then praying through needs relating to the church and community. We round off by praying for a particular street near the church building.
Occasional Wednesdays: Every couple of months, we get together at SRBC on a Wednesday evening to pray for three topics relating to church, community and the world. We meet at 7pm for a welcome drink, then we move into sung worship and then times of prayer.
Men's and Women's meetings
About three or four times through the year, we encourage men and women from SRBC to meet in their own gatherings to support one another. These activities can vary to something social, or spiritual. Each group has a Christmas meal as well.
